Pinterest is an excellent platform for bloggers to get their content out there to be seen by a lot of people. In this blog post I talked about how to set up a Pinterest business account and how to decide which boards you want to have on your profile.
Today we’re customizing your Pinterest board covers to match your branding and give your profile a clean and organized look. Having branded board covers makes such a huge difference. Your profile will look so much more appealing.
Design your branded Pinterest board covers
To design Pinterest board covers I use a free tool called Canva.
Step 1: Create an account in Canva
Step 2: Go to “Create Design” and choose the Instagram Post template
This template works best for me.
Step 3: Design your Pinterest board cover
On the left side of your screen are different options like layouts, elements, text, and backgrounds. You even can upload your own pictures. Experiment with the design until you find something you like and that fits your branding.
Keep in mind that you create these covers to make your profile look more clear and organized. So keep your design simple.
Step 4: Save and download
Change the file name of your template, save it and download it as PNG.
Upload and change your Pinterest board cover
Step 1: Upload your picture
Go to your Pinterest account and create a pin (the red circle with the white plus). Upload your image, add your website and a description and click done.
Choose the right board.
Step 2: Change your Pinterest board cover
Click the edit symbol (pencil) of your board and click on the grey change button. Choose the right picture and click save changes.
And there you have it – your custom Pinterest board cover.
As you can see, your profile looks so much more appealing and organized!
